Good week once again

We were able to see some good things, but this week went by super fast. Elder Shumway got pretty sick with some 24 hour flu thing. He was throwing up and what not, pretty intense. so we stayed in friday and Saturday and kinda just chilled out. It was pretty nice, good little break, but at the end of the day it felt really weird. Usually we get back and are just sooooo tired but i found myseld not being able to sleep because i didnt really do much all day. Haha i dont think i have ever had a problem with being lazy in my life yet now my body seems not used to it. Super crazy

Bad news is none of our investigators came to church. the church is a little far so its always such a hard thing for them to come, even more when they dont have bus passes. but we had some good visits with fransico and Stephanie who both say they really want to become a part of this church.

We went on another fun little hike today. It was beautiful. walked up a little mountain to this old church. Great view and just great little time.

Transfers are coming up this week, so i may be leaving or elder shumway may be leaving. Its gonna be exciting, we shall see what happens.

Anyway, this week didnt have a lot of things happen, but i love you all and feel all your love still.

advice of the week from Elder Santore: Always use Frosted Mugs to drink cold beverages, and always have ice cream near by. Fun tip to make any day better.

i love you and until next week, your favorite little missionary

Hey how’s it going!

ITs me here, just been doing quite grand. this week has been great. The heat is starting to be less crazy so thats always good. We met with some people we contacted on the street which is always a fun time. We had to really try and meet with new people this week because some of our regulars have started to avoid us and stopped answering. Kinda sad, we keep trying to contact them but they are pretty cold most of the time, its because the 4 that are doing this have said they want to join the church and they feel that it is all true. Super big bummer.

But on the other hand we met some other amazing people. A spanish man named Fransico, he is super smart and super nice. We gave him the Book of Mormon and he handled it with such care and really gave us a humbling thanks for it. He has said he wants to be baptized because he wants to have the joy that he felt while with us all the time. He is so ready and I can already see this gospel making him happier. Such a blessing to meet him

We also met a woman on the street, she actually stopped us. That doesnt happen too often. She wanted us to come over and teach her and her daughter. they are both from bolivia. We taught them about the restoration and they felt it was true and very beautiful they have a baptismal date in three weeks! its so great how the power from this message can be noticed so well! I love it.

My spanish is still coming along and i feel like its gotten better, but there are more times well i feel like poop. studying was never my biggest strength so language study is a real issue for me! We shall see how everything ends up, hopefully ill get it soon

I love you all and pray for your happiness

thanks for all the support

Love Elder Santore

Baptism!

so this was great! We baptized three kids! the plaza family! it was so great!! I baptized the oldest, Kelly, elder shumway baptized the youngest tony. and our ward mission leader baptized the middle joseline! such a crazy day. We were just getting prepared for it the entire day because we werent sure if it was really gonna happen until like thursday so we had to get people to give talks and make the program. It was a busy little time. But it was so great, the spirit was so strong at the baptism. the young women sang a song right before the baptism, it was great. this is the family where the dad is a member that just found us on the street and told us to come teach his family. Its unreal! the mom isnt able to come to church yet because of work but im pretty sure she really wants to be become a member as well. they are such an amazing family. We were so blessed to be able to teach them. I cant wait to see their progress as they learn more and more.

Other than that the week was pretty much the same. We went to lledia again for a zone thing which is always super fun because we get to take the train and just chill with the otehr missionaries and play games and talk for a few hours! never a bad time.

I dont really know what else, everytime i think my spanish is getting somewhere i mess up and feel super dumb as usual. but i think i see some improvement and what not. maybe in a few months ill write some things in spanish, maybe.

I love hearing all about home, it makes me happy knowing things are going well. at times i really really wish i could just go jump in the ocean. Its been getting pretty hot, but im pretty sure that it will start getting cooler in a little. My companion jut bought his first spanish suit. whooooo those things are good looking. I cant wait to purcahse one of my own haha. Probably wont be a for a while because i wouold just hate to ruin something like that. But man, im glad to be here knowing that one day i could have a suit like that.

Sometimes i just loook around and go wow im in spain, its super pretty here. I cant believe how lucky i am. i love it here.

I love you all so very much and as always i really appreaciete(have no idea how to spell that word) your support and love!!

Also for those wondering, we use buses and trains to get around. no bikes. Just walking with buses and trains, mostly buses in sabadell but in barcelona they use the metro or subway. I have walked about 500 miles so far on the mission. I have a little pedometer in my bag recording. so great!

Love you all,
Elder Santore

Week number I don’t know

good afternoon my fellow people! Its such a pleasure to be able to write back to you all! first off I want to thank everyone who has written me letters! Sammy, Kim, Drew, Tor, Jessie thank you so much!!!! I will try so very hard to get back to you. Also to the moellers! thank you so much, your letter was so great i truly loved it! and to teh christensens! thank you so much! Sister Bertha thanks so much for your weekly dear elders! The quotes are the best and i love hearing about back home! And of course to my family and cristina! thank you so much, receiving letters is the happiest things ever and i am so grateful for them!!

This week was pretty great, just like the others i guess. Im coming to find out that the weeks are great when my attitude is as well! Such a dumb little realization to find out but i did it, and im proud of myself.

The plazas went out of town last week but they are planning on being baptized this saturday!! so exciting, they are really looking forward to it. we also have daniela and maria planning on being baptized as well! They are the mother and daughter that elder shumway and i found on the street right outside of piso! such a miracle! These people have just loved the gospel from day 1 and accepted it so easily, so crazy! It is so easy to teach them because they feel the spirit so strong so even if our words are dumb or dont make sense they feel that its right. that makes the pressure of not being able to fully speak a lot easier.

Also we had transfers last week. We have a new sister now named Hermana bennet, she is from San Marcos! so crazy, such a small world. And elder biddle from austrailia left fort eh islands and we now have elder madsen from utah here! they are both great, and elder madsen played lacrosse at byu and knows brady and andrew really well, so nuts how there are so many connections.

I wanna answer some questions to some peoples questions. In spare time i usually just try and think and sit down and relax. we also watch a lot of misisonary videos which are super great. i guess Elder Shumway and i just talk about life and what not. We really dont get that much time to do anything besides missionary work, which is really hard at times but it all works out.
also we do knock doors. we try not to because it usually never works. We go up to the top floor of piso buildings and just make our way down. I dont think we have gotten anyone to let us in yet, but we have also only done it a few times because we usually dont need to. No real funny stories with knocking yet, most people just open and say nope not interested or some up to the door quietly and look out the hole and try and act like they arent home. its actually pretty funny, we usually just walk away laughing during those ones.

thats about it, i think. IM sorry im such a boring writer. I wish i was better but hey i got time to improve so leave me alone. I love yuo all so very much and cannot wait to see all your smiling faces again!
I know we all have a plan and that through our loving father in heaven we can feel happier than we ever have! The book of mormon is true, just read it and ask god if it isnt true, i promise you will feeel something!!

IM so happy to be here
your friend,
Elder Santore
