Happy, happy, happy!

I have two huge shout outs this week!!! yeeeee!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! THE BIG 35! hope its the best thing ever, and that you feel the love! I love you mother!! like a lot

CRISTINA MARIE MCLENNAN!!! CHIIKKAAA CHIIKKKAAA BAPTIZZZEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!! YOU DID IT!!!! IM SO PROUD OF YOU!! such an amazing thing. Being on the mission has made me really see the beauty that comes with it and now I know you know it too!!!! What an amazing thing!!! Made my week very long waiting to find out all the details haha but well worth the wait! thank you so much!! I love you so much!!

this week like stated above was long because I was waiting to see what went down, but it was still good. We taught the romanian family and they are just so great. We just need them to get married so bad! We also are teaching a man named cesar, from peru. He is super chill, likes to talk a lot about different philosophical things and his spanish vocab is quite difficult to grasp. Im used to hearing church words so when a different thing comes up i am pretty lost. But he is great, His daughter was just baptized a few months ago, so he wants to know what the hype is. Tonight we are going to a members house to watch the Restoration movie in a home cinema!!! UNCE UNCE!! what brings the spirit more than a big projector and that movie? there are few things but this is gonna be great!

Other than that, this week was pretty mellow, i have a lot of work to do with spanish and trying to become better, which sucks but also is a good thing i guess. something that i think changed my life this week… we get our fruit at a little store by our piso and its run by an Indian man, we talk to him all the time, he is the nicest guy. Well he is trying to learn english so he talks to us in broken english sometimes. the other day we were talking to him about all the bad things in the world and he was just like “yep yep, problems problems problems, un dìa, happy happy happy!” It was inspired haha, I thought it was the best thing ever! Just keep moving forward with a good attitude and obeying and we will be all good.

Thanks for all the love and the support, i feel it everyday! Pray for me to learn spanish!!!
Love you all

This week was great

this week was great, we had some great things happen. The romanian family that we are teaching, they are really really poor and the ward has helped them out a ton! We were in ward council this past week and the ward members were talking about ways to help them with groceries and get the kids into school because they cant seem to get the paper work figured out yet. But it was so amazing to see the people of our church work together to help otheres. That is pretty much all we need to do as missionaries. It made me really happy.

We havent really had much luck with the other people, but we still have a lot of work with the romanian family. We had a baptism lined up with a man named Juan Miguel but he kinda bailed and we havent been able to really get a hold of him lately. big bummer

We had zone conference this past week. I loved it. Its just a great time and the spirit is so strong. We talked all about the Book of Mormon and how if you want to believe you just have to read that book. Seriously it all lies with that book, pretty insane. Well anyways thats that. It was a good work but i really cant remember all that happend haha. Things are good though, Gandia is pretty and cooling down which is nice. Im super stoked for conference.

Thank you for all your support and Love!! I feel it every day!!! you are all the very best!!!!

Love your favorite Missionary,

Gandia sup sup

So I am now here in Gandia!! its so great here!! Its smaller than sabadell. We will be walking everwhere rather than taking buses. Its super great though. we have a lot of member visits with food!! that didnt happen that much in sabadell. I dont know why.

It was a like a 3 hour hour train ride to valencia, but it was so great. We were right next to the beach the whole time. The view was incredible!!! I really enjoyed it. and the ¡n it was another hour to gandia on a different train. So i am in the farthest south of the mission. Super crazy.

My companion is Elder Marques from london! He is technically from portugal but has lived in england pretty much his whole life. He is super great and chill. we have already started getting along really well!

We also have couple missionaries in our area! they are the Livingstons from around portland Oregon! They are great! They feed us every now and agian and just help with member support and stuff! they are super fun, oh and they drive us around to visits that arent in the town!! Its such a blessing

Ya i have reeally only been able to meet some members and what not. Nothing crazy has happened yet. Just trying to get used to the change. But i think things will be great here. Im really excited to get started and see where things take me.

thanks for all the support and love!! i really appreacite it!! You are all the greatest!! I love you

Shout out to the letters I got this past week!! Sister Bertha!! thanks so much
Sydney Crowe!!! Best letter haha, Your personality was all over the letter.

Much Love,

Gandia Shore!!!!!

Why hello fellow people!

On Saturday I found out that i am headed to Gandia!! Its in valencia and is supposed to be reallly pretty. My new companion is Elder MArquez i think and is from england! Super great. IM really excited to get going and see more of spain. I feel so blessed. Also supposedly there is a tv show called Gandia shore like Jersey shore. Imma Convert spanish Snooki! So down haha

But this week has been great. Its weird because i thought i would be staying and elder Shumway would leave but other way around. He is staying and training again. But Things are still good. We have found new people to teach and stephanie seems really great but just hasnt come to churh yet! All she needs to do is come and feel the happiness there and then she can be baptized. Unfortunaletly i wont be able to see any more baptisms in this area, super lame. Other than that no other crazy things have happened. We cant really get a hold of Fransico our catalan investigator which is a bummer, he was soooo interested but now i think he is over it. Who knows

Lets see. The ice cream wall we have in our piso is almost touching the ceiling haha, we eat a lot of ice cream! It gives us a reward if we work hard throughout the day and even if we dont too

Thank you for all your love and support. I feel it everyday. The work has been tiring but its good. Im excited to see what valencia has in store for me and to get to work there. i hear there is great stuff going on there. Ill let you all know!

Oh and my spansh is still pretty bad. Im working on it though so dont worry.
I love you all

oh advice of the week: always smile
