First week in Logrono

So the first week here was interesting. We have a lot of work which is so good!! That makes me really happy. we working some families from brazil that have some kids as members. pretty much, they love the church and we just need to keep visiting with them little by little because i feel so good when we are with them and elder westfall my companion has said that they ahve changed a lot. So that is just a huge sign that they are ready to act and join the church and really feel the love that comes with it.

logroño is nice, but its cold haha!! my companion is great, from california. HE speaks spanish pretty well and so we teach nicely together. Also elder caetano is from africa and is super funny and just crazy! he speaks no english and just says the most random things. Elder Sorenson is the best, he is utah kid but just is super laid back and the best. I love him haha. some of the ward members are crazy. just super locos but they all seem really nice. Like half of the ward speaks enlgish! super wierd. we have a the first counselor to the bishop living above us in our building and he is from africa as well but speaks like 4 languages. Super nuts. He is super funny and we are always with him in visits and doing otehr things like fhe in his house with young single members.

so pretty muc the people here are great, and we are going to see a lot of miracles! Im super stoked for it! I love it. The work in whichever city is different but its the same ya know? i dunno pretty weird.

thank you for the love and the support. I love you all so much and hope you are doing well!!!

with much love and cariño

Logrono!!!

Well i got transfered to logroño!! Its up in the norther part of spain. Im pretty excited! I got here yesterday after like 10 hours of traveling by train. It was a long day haha. BUt the ward here seems super great and I am with a missionary from laguna beach haha, his name is elder Westfall. So thats really good.

Saying goodbye to gandia was so rough. I loved all of them so much. Me and elder segui left and elder and puri and elder johnson stayed. the last few days were filled with eating visits with our favorites and saying hasta luego to everyone. It was super sad, and i was pretty bummed to leave and it was a bummer coming here yesterday and just knowing all the ward already. Because there in gandia we were like family and i love so much, but i gotta remember that that didnt happen over night, but i was there for 6 months, so im hoping that that happens here, because i hear great things of this ward and the work here looks like its really getting goiing. Im excited, and plus elder segui is in my zone so i get to see him every once in a while.

But here in my new piso, we have 4 elders. elder sorenson from utah, and his companion elder caetano who is from angolia!! he has lived here in spain for a while though and used to be a professional futbol player but gave it up to come on a mission! Super crazy!! HE seems super fun and elder sorenson i knew from valencia and he is a super nice and mellow kid.
We also have girl missionaries here, hermana foncubierta who is from southern spain and hermana floisand from utah who is actually from my group! So we have a pretty great little district and im pretty excited to see some good things go down. Change is always a weird thing but im excited which is a good sign.

Here are come pics from gandia, saying goodbye and valentines day hahah super random big panda thing.

Thank you all so much for all the birthday wishes once again! I felt soo loved from all the wishes and great words. I received a lot of good advice and great haert warming stories and wow i loved it all. thank you so much. Something that i have learned as i have reached the old age of 21 is if you tell people its your birthday in different groups you get more than one party and cake! UNCE UNCE! I was so blessed this past week. there is a great family from ecuador here and we love them so much we go over there like twice a week and they had us over for my birthday and we had a little family home eveneing and then they brought out this cake for me and christopher the guy who just got baptized who is from san diego. His birthday is a day before mine! So that was super fun, and then they smashed our faces in it, it was all good though because the cake tasted really good.

this past week work wise was really good as well. We had a two day conference with all the missionaries down here in valencia and with President and his wife as well. It was so good, we always learn a ton at those things. And its fun because elder Shumway my trainer is the zone leader so we get to see eachother and have a good time. But ya other than that this week has been like the others. Good news is that we have a baptismal fecha with a woman named jennifer! she is from nigeria! She came to church yesterday and loved it and we will visit with her more this week. Sad thing is i will most likely be leaving gandia next week because we have tranfers and i have had 6 months here. Pretty crazy how fast the time goes by. But i love it.

Well thank you all so much for all the you do and say to me. It really means a lot and I love you all so much for that!! I hope you all have the greatest week and just smile and what not. Its a good thing to smile

I love you all

thank you for birthday wishes!!

Thank you all so much for the Birthday wishes!! I feel so loved and I am so grateful for all of you!! MY first birthday in the mission, super weird but feels good. I am happy to be with a great ward and fun missionaries as well. And its preparation day so I can just chill a little haha. That makes it even better, because i know if it was a regular day i would be les effective haha, but no worries. Just know that i am grateful for all the love and support that i feel everyday and I love you all so much. I will try to write back a short message to all, but forgive me because i really dont have a ton of time and my typing skills are awful.

This past week was good, good news is that the family we were teaching for a little but ended up not being in our area is getting baptized this weekend! This saturday we will travel up to a city north of us to see them baptized. Feels good, even though we didnt get to finish teaching them, we get to see them baptized which is such a blessing.

We also have some great potential people that we are trying to work with. I love the work, even though sometimes its hard. I love just ebing able to tell people you can know these things are true by prayer and by your work. Really, its not something i or any missionary can convince, its something that we share and show them how they can know and if they do it, they feel it, but if they dont put forth the efforts and work, they wont see the results they want. I love that. We all can know, we just need to humble ourselves and keep asking.

I love you all so much, we are struggling to find people to baptize but i know that God is just waiting to give us people who are so ready. I know that he loves us and that he really wants us to be happy. Life is hard and we have problems everyday, but if we can try understand that maybe we just dont understand it all, thats when miracles are noticed and when we can really see the hand of God in our lives. I know thats true. I love you all, and if there is anything i want for my birthday its for people all over the world that i love and that i dont even know to feel the love the God their father in heaven has for them. Its real. Thank you for everything!!!

Love,
Elder Santore
